Will Filipinos see a “better version” of John Lloyd Cruz this summer?
The answer will be known come April after the matinee idol completes a regimented diet and workout as part of his new endorsement for Century Tuna.
The big news about John Lloyd’s “visual” change of mind—the actor had previously declared he was not conscious about body image—was announced at the media launch of “Century Tuna Superbods 2014.”
To achieve his goal, John Lloyd will join the Superbods SuperChallenge, wherein he will undergo the Superbods diet and workout plan designed by top nutritionist Nadine Tengco and fitness trainer Coach Jim Saret for the next six weeks.
“I’m very thankful that Century Tuna chose me for this challenge. It’s inspiring because when I turned 30, my wish for myself is to be healthy. With this challenge, I will try to achieve a 360-degree turn in my lifestyle,” said the actor in a press statement.
John Lloyd was unable to attend the media launch at the InterContinental Hotel in Makati City because he was still recuperating from a biking injury that time. Only co-endorser Anne Curtis was present at the event, who happily announced that she and John Lloyd have moved on from one of 2013’s biggest showbiz controversies, better known as “the slapping incident.”
Also joining John Lloyd at the Superbods SuperChallenge are popular radio DJs Sam YG, Slick Rick and Tony Toni of Magic 89.9’s Boys Night Out.
Together, the celebrities will showcase that it is possible for everyone to “become a Superbod.” Log on to www.centurytuna.ph/superbodschallenge for the complete diet and workout plan.
Meanwhile, Century Tuna Superbods 2014 will culminate with the much-awaited search for males and females ages 18 to 35 with healthy bodies and a passion for active lifestyles.
The finals of the competition takes place from April 25 to 27 in Boracay, with John Lloyd, Anne and the members of Boys Night Out in attendance. It will also mark the actor’s big reveal. Stay tuned!
