In addition the basic looks of 2015, The Manila Times’ fashion forecast research has churned out the following trends that will crop up all through the year.
Anything floral, from prints to appliqués will continue to bloom in 2015. As irishtimes.com reports, “From mind-bending, morphing lenticular prints and plastics at Christopher Kane and dark, gothic dresses at Erdem to tablecloth florals at Celine and rich, tapestry-like textiles at Louis Vuitton, florals are going nowhere.”
Sequins steal the show
It is still time to shine with modern metallic in 2015. Long associated with gla-mor while giving off that futuristic vibe. The fashion houses of Dolce & Gabbana, Diane Von Fusrtenberg, Lavin, Gucci, and Saint Laurent are not giving up the sequins this year, and neither is this sparkling black top from Seventeen, paired with a girly pleated skirt from GTW Party, both from the SM Store.
For formals, black will always stay put, but with bits of sheer this year these Julia Jordan lace overlay short dress and David Meister gown elegantly fashion. These classy and glamorous looks are also the order of the day—or should we say night?—for international designers Adriana Papell, Badgley Misch-ka, Aidan Mattos, David Meister and many others at the Fashion Forum of SM Makati.
