• Website pushes opportunities for informal sector

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) led on Tuesday the launching of dagdag-kita.com.ph, a website intended to provide income support programs and services to about 15.3 million informal sector workers and their dependents.

“The dagdag-kita website will provide relevant and updated information and link to the Filipino workers to appropriate government agencies providing income support benefits and services they can avail,” said Labor Sec. Rosalinda Baldoz during the launching ceremony at the Ichinawa Hall of the Occupational Safety and Health Center in Quezon City.

“The website will provide greater transparency and enable concerned government agencies to share information with the public. It will promote greater support initiatives,” said Baldoz.

The income support programs featured at dagdag-kita.com include cash and non-cash assistance in the form of grants for education and training, grants for enterprise start-up and development, loans, employment, capacity building and training service, and rehabilitation.
