From Madrid to Manila, Sfera, the popular fashion store belonging to El Corte Ingles, Spain’s largest department store group, opened its first Asian franchise in SM Makati on September 30.
Sfera, which was launched in 2000, exemplifies contemporary Spanish style rendered in casual, current and quality clothing. Today, it has more than two hundred retail outlets, including stand-alone stores and corners located in El Corte Ingles Department Stores across Spain, in addition to the stores it has opened in other parts of Europe, Mexico, Portugal, Greece, Peru and the Middle East.
The Sfera store in the Philippines now operates in partnership with the SM Retail Group.
The brand’s expansion managers Guillermo Lopez and Martin Pein shared at the opening, “This is a really strategic partnership. This is our first store in Asia and we hope this is the future for the brand and a new market.”
Sfera stores all over the world project a classic, minimalist, and elegant look. Location, design, and store size, according to the executives, are the topmost priority for the brand, because they constantly add new collections on the racks and shelves inspired by the latest trends in Europe.

The Sfera Woman is sophisticated and effortless, which is why the clothes depict the same mood in feminine pieces and easy silhouettes.
Casual is a refreshing counterpart to the Women’s collection, while contemporary classics define the Sfera Men’s line .
Finally, the Sfera Children collection offers quality and comfortable clothing for children and babies that capture the playful essence of little ones.
