Westbrook lifts Thunder with another triple-double

OKLAHOMA CITY: Another NBA game, another triple-double for Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook. Westbrook posted his eighth triple-double of the season with 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds on Friday (Saturday in Manila) to lead the Thunder to a 113-99 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. It marked the sixth time in eight games that Westbrook reached double figures in three statistical categories, continuing the red-hot play that has boosted the Thunder as teammate Kevin Durant remains sidelined with a sore foot. Westbrook’s run of four straight triple-doubles from February 26-March 4 made him the first player since Michael Jordan in 1989 to string together that many.
