The Philippines became part of Star Wars history when fans from all ages gathered at the SM Mall of Asia Main Mall Atrium, and took part in the world’s first simultaneous live toy unboxing at the “Force Friday” midnight event.

With it, the participants had the opportunity for a first look at select new products inspired by the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The historic unboxing event unfolded across 12 countries in 15 cities, in 18 hours. Dubbed as “the most epic product launch ever mounted,” the select toys and merchandise were also revealed for the first time on Youtube.

The appearance of the 501st Legion Stormtroopers signaled the start of the countdown to midnight. And at the stroke of 12, the troopers pulled the cover to reveal the newest line of Star Wars toys in epic lightsabers, coolest droids, 3D FX Deco lights, new character figures, classic troopers, and vehicles among others.

Stocks for these premium toys will be out in November.
