Who’s who in the Bautista marital spat

Juan Andres ‘Andy’ Bautista
Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman and former head of the Presidential Commission on Good Government, accused by his wife of amassing nearly P1 billion in hidden wealth.

Patricia Paz ‘Tisha’ Cruz-Bautista
Book author, wife of the Comelec chairman and mother to their four children. She worked in her mother’s nonprofit and cosmetology school. Tisha executed an affidavit on August 1 detailing her husband’s alleged corrupt dealings.

Nilo T. Divina
A commercial lawyer who is managing partner of DivinaLaw and UST law dean. Bautista’s wife Patricia claims Divina gave the Comelec chief commissions for referring clients to DivinaLaw, such as Baseco, UCPB and vote-counting machine provider Smartmatic.

Baby Cruz
Bautista’s mother in law who runs a nonprofit and a cosmetology school. Cruz accompanied the Comelec chief to Malacañang when President Rodrigo Duterte tried to patch up the Bautistas’ rift. Cruz owned the condominium where Bautista allegedly met Vice President Leni Robredo, secretly, on July 16, 2016.

President Rodrigo Duterte
Like a marriage counselor, Duterte tried to patch things up between Andy and Tisha in a Palace meeting on August 1, but to no avail.

Alfonso ‘Alvin’ Lim
Former partner of chef Margarita Fores, and rumored to be the ‘third party’ that led to the split between the
Bautistas. Patricia denies the affair, but admits she and Alvin became close because of their ‘psychic’ abilities.

Lorna Kapunan
Celebrity lawyer who serves as Tisha’s legal adviser. Kapunan is known for taking up family law cases, and has lawyered for controversial clients like Janet Napoles.
