World’s No. 1 Serena Williams led the Philippine Mavericks’ lopsided 29-18 win over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday in the opening day of the Manila leg of Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League 2015 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Despite losing her mixed doubles match together with Filipino-American Treat Conrad Huey, the 34-year-old American professional tennis star bounced back in the women’s singles by beating Serbian Ana Ivanovic, 6-3.
