Woman International Master (WIM) Janelle Mae Frayna remained on track of claiming the title as she shared the top spot with a Russian player after eighth round of the prestigious World Junior Chess Championships being held at the KIIT University in Bhubaneswar, India.

Frayna has so far collected 6.5 points - the same output of fellow WIM Dinara Dordzhieva in the girls’ division of the tournament sanctioned by the International Chess Federation.
