A beverage company is offering as promo prize a trip to the 2014 Ken Block’s Japan Experience.
Monster Energy last week announced that three lucky fans, plus a guest each, will get to meet rally driving sensation Block at the Japan event that’s slated in July. Winners will be accompanied by TV personality Ellen Adarna.
Block and 16 of the best drivers in the D1 drift racing series will be in Japan for the show. His Ford Fiesta ST car will be toured across the country and will be featured in a gymkhana on July 26 and 27. The video of the gymkhana will be released on YouTube.
Besides the overseas trip, five Monster Energy Gear (inclusive of shirt, cap, hoodie, backpack and three Ken Block Rally Fiesta remote control cars) will be given away to lucky winners. The grand draw will be held on April 21.
Block is a professional driver employed by the Monster World Rally Team, and is the first American to campaign in the World Rally Championship. In 2010 he became the second American to score points in the race series. Block, cofounder of DC Shoes, has also competed in skateboarding, snowboarding and motocross, among other sports.
In 2013 Block was honored at the annual Petersen Automotive Museum Gala in Los Angeles, California, for his contributions to automotive culture.
