Woman claims P46.5 million lotto prize

A 62-year-old retired female government employee from Parañaque City received an early Christmas gift as she claimed her winnings of P46.5 million from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Monday.

PCSO officer-in-charge Conrado Zabella, assistant general manager for gaming sector, handed the check to the lone winner whose winning combination 02-05-11-13-42-49 reportedly came from a random pick bet.

The instant millionaire who has been playing the lotto since 1996 will reportedly use her winnings to pay debts, share the prize money to her children and save for the future.

“PCSO will also appreciate if the winner can share some of her winnings to the poor especially those who are sick thru legitimate charitable institutions. It will be a very nice Christmas gesture of sharing gifts to the needy,” Zabella added.
