Woman gunned down in Tondo


A woman suspected to be a drug user was gunned down by an unidentified assailant in Tondo, Manila on Wednesday.

Anabelle “Kekang” Bautista was having her nails cleaned when the gunman appeared and shot her repeatedly.

The manicurist, Raquel Manonog, was hit by a stray bullet.

The mother of Bautista, Rusita Cruz, denied that her daughter was using drugs.

A witness, Gilbert Manonog, said the gunman, who was wearing a black cap, was medium built, fair skinned, and had a rosary tattoo.

PO3 Jordan Taluban recovered two sachets of suspected shabu from the bag of the victim.
