Women lawmakers condemn Makati police's strip search of drug suspects

A CONTROVERSIAL video of a strip search by Makati police drew condemnation from the women lawmakers at the House of Representatives as they blamed President Rodrigo Duterte whose “misogyny,” they said, his police have imbibed.

“Gabriela condemns Makati police who were caught who conducting strip search on drug suspects. This speaks of how the police, despite attending human rights trainings, are disturbingly using women for their amusement and satisfaction with gross disregard of rights of the detained,” said Gabriela party-list Reps. Emereciana de Jesus and Arlene Brosas.
