Work abroad opportunities for Bangsamoro

MAGUINDANAO: The province is opening on Monday at least 2,500 job vacancies in Saudi Arabia for jobless in Muslim Mindanao, particularly in this province, where the military’s paradigm shift from combat to peace-building operations have been upbeat.

Maj. Romeo Gapuz, chief of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division (ID), said the processing of applications for job vacancies was formally launched on Monday by Maguindanao Governor Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu and officials of concerned agencies.

Various positions in Saudi Arabia’s domestic and industrial establishments ranging from “assistant manager to rank-and-file slots excluding taxi driver” will be filled, Gapuz said.

He said he has “friends” in the diplomatic community who worked out the availability of the job vacancies in Saudi Arabia for areas served by the Maguindanao-based 6th Infantry Division.

Apart from Maguindanao, the military division covers Sultan Kudarat and parts of Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato and South Cotabato.

Gen. Gapuz said his command coordinated the availability of the foreign work slots in support of the Aquino administration’s paradigm shift to peace and development initiatives from the military’s usual combat orientation in dealing with Mindanao rebellion.
