WORLD’S TOP PLAYERS HOLD MINUTE’S SILENCE FOR BALTACHA

MADRID: Andy Murray was among 50 players from the ATP and WTA circuits who held a minute’s silence in honor of former British number one Elena Baltacha before the night session of the Madrid Open on Monday (Tuesday in Manila). Baltacha died on Sunday (Monday in Manila), aged 30, after a short battle against liver cancer.
