THE Wurth Group donated P2.9 million intended for efforts for Typhoon Yolanda victims. A large part of the donation will be made to aid the Doctors Without Borders organization, which will provide the victims with medical treatment, clean water and emergency shelters, as well as hand out relief supplies.

Wurth Phils. Inc. will receive the remaining funds to help employees who were also victims of the typhoon.

Wurth Phils. is the exclusive importer and distributor of the Wurth line of automotive, construction and industrial tools, chemicals, lubricants and equipment in the country.

“With our donation we wish to relieve the distress of the people in the affected areas, as well as make a contribution to supplying the people in need with the essentials of life,” said Adolf Wurth GmbH Chairman Norbert Heckmann.

For his part, Wurth Phils. Managing Director Ariel de Jesus said; “We express our heartfelt gratitude to the members of the board of our mother company for this generous act in support of the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. We know that this is a big help to the members of Doctors Without Borders, who have been tirelessly bringing much-needed medical help to the affected communities.”
