• Xi Jinping: Conflict between US, China would lead to ‘disaster’

SEATTLE: Chinese President Xi Jinping called for better relations with the United States, warning that conflict between the two could have a disastrous outcome.

In a keynote speech on the first day of his state visit to the United States, he stressed a need for more cooperation and understanding of each other’s “strategic intentions” as central to a “major country relationship.”

“We want to see more understanding and trust and less estrangement and suspicion,” he told an audience of mostly businessmen.

“Should they enter into conflict and confrontation, it would lead to disaster for both countries and the world at large,” he said.

    1. I get the sense that this is a veiled threat to the USA because Xi knows the country is now a weakling and is probably not ready for any confrontation. But in a nuclear war, no one will win, not even China, not even Russia, no one! If ever there should be a first move to decrease the tension, it should be China. she should slowly hand over the reclaimed lands in the disputed waters to their respective jurisdictions and leave softly. The she can leave well enough alone.

    2. A disaster to China but not to the United States. He is playing POKER. THE UNITED STATES HAVE BEEN TO MANY CONFLICTS AND STILL STANDING TALL AMONG THE ENVIOUS NATIONS. CHINA THE LIARS, THE CHEATERS AND THE PRETENDERS STILL WANTS AMERICA TO BELIEVE HIM THAT CHINA HAS A GOOD INTENTION OF BEING A FRIEND INSPITE OF CYBER ATTACKS ON FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND THE BUSINESSES. WHAT A LIE. SOB.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is absolutely right: A hot war between China and the United States over Taiwain or the Spratlys could be a major disaster for both countries–and there is no telling now which country would have a better chance of surviving if both will be compelled to hit each other with their arsenal of nuclear weapons.

But it is China which is now engaged ominously arrogantly and recklessly in hegemonic designs in both the East China Sea and the South China Sea, which, eventually, could provoke a muscular response from the US and its allies Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Australia.

“The ball is now in China’s park!” If it sincerely wants peaceful co-existence between it and other countries, it should stop behaving like an arrogant and reckless bully and behave like a peace-loving member of the United Nations.

Yes,yes…During the time of former First Lady Imelda Marcos. We have a Brand New Belgian Made Light Railway Transportation. After them we got the Junk made in China LRT. Bring back the New Marcos Era without the cronnies and those who had work under the Marcos Regime. Eliminate them before the people will trust them again. One of their famous aide’s is now in the camp of the POE and surely, They will be like what they were before in the Marcos Administration.
