Xian Lim’s mom, Mary Ann, is now touted as his newest “love team.” Together, the mother-and-son tandem endorses Banco de Oro’s (BDO) latest mobile banking application, which is intuitive, simple and secure for every Filipino to use.
As the newest platform of BDO’s eBanking, the mobile app maintains a high level of security which meets to industry standards: encrypted transmission of data to protect customer account information, the one-time-password for authentication upon registration of device, and verification of user ID and password for every login. There is also a personal security question for further protection against fraud.
Early this month, BDO officially launched Xian and Mary Ann as their newest ambassadors at its corporate tower in Makati City.
Expedito Garcia Jr., first vice president of BDO’s TBG Channels and Networks Management, announced, “Xian Lim is one of the hardest working, professional and dependable celebrities in the country today. The story of Xian and his mom doing more with a mobile app, best brings to life BDO’s thrust to provide families customer services through the most convenient ways.”
In an interview with The Manila Times, the Lims shared how it’s a “bonus” for them to endorse the BDO eBanking application.
Xian revealed, “When we came home [from the US], and before I got into showbiz, Mom and I were already part of BDO. BDO ‘yong una naming nilapitan for our loans. Itong endorsement, bonus na lang e. We are proud na kami yong napili.”
For mom Mary Ann, “Kaya it’s not hard for us to talk about BDO.”
“It’s really part of our lives,” Xian agreed.
Xian and Mary Ann then explained the benefits of being able to check their bank accounts right from their mobile devices.
“The mobile app will make your life easier; it’s at the palm of your hands. And for me, it gives peace of mind. Whenever I need to check on anything, andyan sya anytime,” Xian said.
As for Mary Ann, she noted that the app is perfect for the youth. “Kasi young people like you are always on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter anyway. Kakambal na nyo na yong phone nyo.”
But this is not saying that the mobile app is not beneficial for moms like her. According to Mary Ann, the app allows her to multi-task. Now they can check their banks while running other household errands.
The mother and son were also excited to talk about how they shot the mobile app TVC.
Shot in Batangas, Xian treasured the quality and bonding time he had with his mom, while she found it such an experience to be in her son’s world.
“Nakakatuwa! I was conscious sa looks ko, not so much on my acting, na nalilimutan ko, ano ba yong dialogue ko! Sabihin nya sa akin, ‘Mom, three words lang ‘yon!’” she laughed.
According to the proud son, her mom did beautifully in the end, and more importantly enjoyed the ride.
