“Operation Darkhorse,” the government military offensive against members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) was successful. Many BIFF members were flushed out, but the military says it has not been defeated. There will always be pockets of these wayward group who will attempt to launch attacks. This possibility must again be met with iron hands, as has the first-conducted operations against the BIFF.

It seems that such military actions are effective. The bad eloements cannot easily re-group with the AFP pursuing them with the people’s support. Nobody in Mindanao wants disorder and violence, except these breakaway groups from the secessionist Moro Islamic Liberation Front. MILF is signing a peace agreement with the government so they can have their own substate. They can have what they want from the government without having to fight.
