Pop-R&B Sensation Young JV is the newest ambassador of Hero Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit organization that sends military orphans to school.
Hero Foundation has been raising awareness and funds about the plight of children of soldiers who were killed in action since 1988 when it was founded by former President Corazon C. Aquino in cooperation with then Defense Secretary Renato de Villa.
The scholarship comes in the form of stipends that are directly given to the families of the fallen soldiers to help them with the cost of books, uniform, meals, transportation, school supplies and sometimes, even their tuition fees. Hero also gives educational allowance to the children or dependent sibling of Filipino soldiers who were killed or completely incapacitated due to enemy action.
Young JV befits his latest noble achievement. Beneath his celebrity status is a young man with a good heart. He is an artist with a mission in life. Also a son of a military man, Young JV continues the legacy of heroism and noble service.
Away from the glaring spotlight, Young JV is founder and chairman of the Lahing Bayani Foundation that provides educational benefits and grants to the orphans of Filipino soldiers. He previously received a Plaque of Recognition from the Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System Office for all his contributions.
What’s keeping Young JV busy these days? Aside from being an ambassador of Hero Foundation, the young singer has his hands full with live performances.
