MEMBERS of the Camaligan Municipal Police Station in Camarines Sur have arrested over the weekend a young man for victimizing a businesswoman of her hard earned cash through an online selling portal. Reports reaching the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame on Monday identified the suspect as John Gabriel Vibas, 21. Camarines Provincial Police Director Primo Golingay said Vibas posted an ad through internet site OLX that he was selling three chow-chow puppies. Businesswoman Aileen Del Barrio-Guinto of Camarines Norte and sent P8,000 to Vibas via the Smart Money Padala. However, none of the ordered puppies arrived at their agreed delivery address. The police are now preparing a complaint against Vibas and Emma Briones Napay, his alleged cohort in the fraud.
