• Youth urged to consider agriculture as viable career

MUÑOZ, Nueva Ecija: National Youth Commissioner Percival Cendaña has urged high school students to consider agriculture as a viable career. He said students and the younger generation should not look down on the agriculture sector. Cendaña made the speech during the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice’s) “Lakbay-Palay: Astig mag-Agri” event on Wednesday. More than 700 high students joined the event where they learned about new machines used in rice farming, new varieties, and information technology support including the Farmers Text Center and Pinoy Rice Knowledge Bank.
