The Kalibo international airport was temporary closed Thursday afternoon after a Zest Air Airbus A320 skidded off the runway.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued a Notice-To-Airmen (Notam) notifying all planes bound for Kalibo that the runway was closed because of the stalled aircraft.
CAAP said the Zest Air flight was bound for Pudong, China, with 137 passengers and a crew of seven.
It began to skid, doing a 180-degree turn as it was preparing to take off.
There were no reports of injuries.
Flights affected by the airport closure were SeAir flight 7056, Manila to Kalibo and its return flight to Manila at 4p.m.; Cebu Pacific Air 5J 343; Zest Air Z2 272; AirPhil flight 2P 975 and SeAir flight 740 from Clark to Kalibo.
