The film is produced by Quantum Films producer Atty. Joji Alonso and opened in selected SM and Ayala mall theaters yesterday.

In the film, Zsa Zsa plays a single mom inflicted with cancer. Talking about her role, Divine Diva shares, “I read the script at nagandahan ako sa role ko as Atty. Bella Monte-claro. Mataray siya at ang gaganda ng lines ko rito na quotable quotes.”

Besides Zsa Zsa, Gloria Sevilla also plays an important character in the story. While Zsa Zsa is a mother dying from a pancreatic cancer who has a son (Nico Antonio), Gloria has a daughter (Sue Prado) who is dying from chronic liver disease.

The two situations allow the film to show the great disparity in medical treatments between the rich and the poor in the country.

Zsa Zsa adds, “Lahat ng friends kong nakapanood last December really liked it. Tawa raw sila nang tawa sa maraming scenes but in the end, napaiyak sila kasi reality situations ang ipinakikita.”

Also starring Dennis Padilla and Gloria Sevilla, M is written and directed by Zig Dulay, who is a writer at GMA Network. His works included Sa Puso ni Doc starring Dennis Trillo, written and co-directed with Adolf Alix, and musical drama Himig ng Pasko featuring Regine Velasquez. After his stint at MMFF, Dulay is now working as writer-assistant director for the romantic drama anthology, Wagas.
