TOYOTA GETS ECO AWARD
Toyota Motor Phils. (TMP) recently received the EcoSwitch Award from the Green Philippines Islands of Sustainability (GPIoS) during the EcoSwitch Awards for Environmental Performance event held at a hotel in Makati City.

This is the second consecutive year that TMP has received the accolade, a testament to the company’s sustainable environmental programs. TMP is recognized as an ISO 14001-certified company because of its sustainable Environmental Management System. True to its environmental advocacy, TMP continues to embark on other environmental initiatives such as the development of a 12-hectare forest inside the Toyota Special Economic Zone, the operation of a Waste Water Treatment Plant, and the usage of solar-powered fixtures, among others. SHELL EXTENDS PROMO ON FERRARI LEGO SCALE MODELS
SHELL Phils. is extending until December 31 its promo that offers Ferrari miniature models made by Lego.

The range of limited-edition, buildable, collectible Ferrari models made from Lego bricks are available with purchases of Shell V-Power Nitro+ or Shell FuelSave. For every P1,500 worth of single or accumulated purchase of V-Power Nitro+ Racing, Gasoline or Diesel, customers get a chance to collect any of the six Ferrari model Lego cars for only P140 each. The models may also be bought for P180 with a P1,500 single or accumulated purchase of Shell FuelSave Unleaded or Diesel.

Buyers of Shell Helix can bring home a free Lego model for every purchase of any Helix oil change package.

‘AUTO REVIEW’ HOLDS FUN RUN AT BATANGAS RACETRACK
THE 5th Auto Review Run for Road Safety and Courtesy became the first running event to be held on a racetrack, and drew thousands of motoring and running enthusiasts, its organizer said.

The event was held at the Batangas Racing Circuit in the municipality of Rosario.

“This is a good way in promoting road safety in this part of the region. This is a good start,” the organizer, Vision in Action Enterprises, quoted Mayor Manny Alvarez of Rosario.

Vision in Action Enterprises is the producer of the Auto Review motoring show.

It said that the fun run was held in line with the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, which is being supported by the Department of Transportation and Communication.

The event featured 3K and 6K mixed-distance race categories held on the undulating racetrack, which proved tricky and challenging to the runners.

The advocacy event was also able to raise road safety awareness, this time in a one-of-a-kind way, the organizer said, noting that the Auto Review Run for Road Safety and Courtesy is a pioneer in promoting road safety through running in the country since 2004.

VALVOLINE RELEASES CLEANER FOR AUTO AIR-CONDITIONERS
VALVOLINE Phils., a subsidiary of Ashland Inc. and an automobile lubricant and motor oil manufacturer, announced it had recently released in the Philippines the Valvoline Professional Series (VPS) Aircon Cleaner and Aircon Odor Eliminator Kit.

Valvoline said the VPS kit eliminates odor-causing elements like mold, mildew, fungi and bacteria without needing to disassemble a vehicle’s air-conditioning system. The company noted that its product is also environment-friendly as it does not contain chlorofluorocarbon or other substances that harm the ozone layer.

Besides the VPS’s eco-friendly feature, Valvoline said it had also made cleaning air-conditioners easier and faster, with the process requiring only 45 minutes.
