Zen’s new home for the New Year

Dr. MJ Torres, founder of Zen Institute

The Zen Institute Medical Spa in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig has just moved to a nearby address on 31st Street corner 1st Avenue to welcome the coming New Year with “a more inspiring atmosphere.”

This new home officially opened its doors on Monday with a blessing. thanksgiving, and birthday party all in one, led by the celebrant and Zen Institute founder and president, Dr. Mary Jane “MJ” Torres.

In an interview with The Manila Times, Dr. Torres explained the relocation of the popular medical spa, saying, “We transferred [the clinic] because we don’t want our clients to have to go through a gasoline station to get to the old location.”

She added she felt that the route made clients feel uneasy and uncomfortable even before entering the Zen Institute.

“Now, the new center is more accessible with a direct street access,” she continued.

Besides having a new location, the center is also bigger now with a floor area of 200-square meters, with interiors that perfectly imbibe the Zen Institute’s beauty aesthetic: “The Art of Beauty Perfected from Within.”

“In a sense, we wanted to bring out our beauty aesthetic [just from the center]. If the surrounding environment is beautiful, then you will be inspired to look good as well. What we see is also very important,” Dr. Torres elaborated.

The new Zen Institute now has nine rooms with one premiere room for special patrons. The said room, has its own bathroom and shower, and is perfect for full body treatments, like body scrubs.

‘Zen-timonials’
Zen Institute’s most loyal clients were in full force at the opening to toast Dr. Torres on her birthday and wish her well on her latest endeavor.

Classic beauty Tingting Cojuangco was the clinic’s guest of honor, who thanked Dr. Torres in her short speech for introducing a remedy for every beauty issue at the Zen Institute.

Other known personalities who gave testimonials on how the clinic has helped them solve their beauty issues were comedienne Giselle Sanchez, husband and wife Ayen and Franco Laurel, and veteran actress Chanda Romero. Also spotted at the well-attended party were health and beauty advocate Cory Quirino and former Miss Universe runner up Miriam Quiambao.

Core competencies
The Zen Institute is a medical spa center that offers a complete range of treatments for the face, skin, hair and body. According to Dr. Torres, the center’s non-invasive and non-surgical treatments serve as its “core competencies.”

Zen Institute’s non-invasive treatments for facial contouring include Mesolipotheraphy, Resonax, Endolift and the Powercelift. Meanwhile, the Body Sculpting program is a holistic course that offers different non-surgical procedures including Mesolipo-theraphy, Resonax, Ultralipo and Lipocryo. He program also includes weight management and lifestyle coaching.
