| Bea Binene has left all the controversy behind |
After a storm of controversies came her way in September, tween star Bea Binene excitedly announced the premiere of her new morning drama series, Cielo de Angelina, on October 22 on GMA Network.
The 14-year-old actress, who shares top billing with Jake Vargas in GMA Films’ very first project for TV, was able to evade questions about the “Papa Dan-Atty. Topacio” scandal by simply saying that everything is OK now.
Her mother, Carina Binene, who was present at the show’s press launch, meanwhile, said it is best for their lawyers to answer any questions regarding the hullabaloo.
It was in fact Jake who willingly answered questions pertaining to the controversy. Although very brief, he related that he was surprised that Bea was linked to DJ Papa Dan and Atty. Topacio since she is so much younger than them. He added that Bea never confided in him when she was going through the ordeal.
Clearly, Bea, a promising actress, is focused on her career. She plays the role of Bea in Cielo de Angelina, an orphan girl who was left by the door of a shelter for women and children one stormy night. There, she grows up with Marco, Jake’s character, who was a 4-year-old stowaway when she arrived as a baby.
Through the years, Marco serves as the older brother of Angelina, and helps her search for her parents. But just as they were on to something, Angelina is adopted and thus begins her life of torment.
Focusing on the theme of love, friendship and family, Cielo de Angelina will air from Monday to Friday before Eat Bulaga on GMA7 beginning October 22.
