It may not be the most triumphant or heroic return, but John Rendez’ commitment to music compelled him to return to the country to record his newest album.
John Rendez, Metaldog, features 11 original songs he wrote including “There Can Only Be One,” “No More Musik By The Suckers,” “Ratt9mm,” and “Under The Ground,” among others.
“It’s good to be back to what I love doing most. I couldn’t think of any other thing as fulfilling,” John related.
When asked why it took sometime for him to release the album, he said it was because he had to stay in the US with Nora Aunor.
Still, John debunked all allegations or suspicions that he had any romantic links with the Superstar, stressing that they are simply great friends. “I was there to attend to her, to care for her and to protect her all the time, but I am also a family man,” he added.
John came back in August 2011 and immediately made preparations to resume doing what he loves most: composing rap and singing them. It took him a year to finish his album, from conceptualizing the type and quality of its contents, to composing the songs, and updating them until the very end.
John with his long-time friend and now business manager Nora Aunor, inked a distribution deal with PolyEast (EMI) Records, Inc. for the release of his new album.
