After a highly-anticipated first elimination round of the Top 20 at the posh Salon de Ning, The Peninsula Manila’s Sing@Ning: Search for the Ultimate Voice has named its 12 finalists.
The competition is an advocacy that called on aspiring Filipino student-vocalists aged 18 to 25 to showcase their talents and be discovered by nurturing their untapped potential and exposing them to the entertainment industry’s most influential personalities.
Securing a slot in the coveted Top 12 were Rafael Gutierrez from UP-Diliman; April Delos Santos from UP’s Open University; Joselle Feliciano and Abigail Sulit from Ateneo de Manila University; Garett Bolden Jr. from Lyceum SBMA; Renz Ruther Robosa from the University of Luzon Dagupan City; Ana Almenario from De La Salle College of St. Benilde; Shane Anja Tarun from UST, Jojianne Altamera from Adamson; Paula Mariz Portillo from Mapua; Shayne Malto from National Polytechnic College; and Lynly Lacdang from St. Scholastica’s College.
The contestants sang Pinoy rock hits to a judging panel composed of Sing@Ning’s musical director Onyl Torres, theater and film actress Pinky Marquez, TV writer and director Floy Quintos, and The Company creative director Moy Ortiz.
The finals night is slated on November 6.
