As part of the ongoing cultural program of the Argentine Embassy for 2012, piano prodigy Emilio Peroni is set to perform at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino on October 30, at 7:30 p.m.
The piano recital will introduce a repertoire of classical and modern music from Argentina to the Filipino audience, as performed by the multi-awarded Peroni.
Peroni, who hails from Neuquén, was trained by piano geniuses from his home country, as well as Italy, Spain and Germany. He commands an extraordinary repertoire that encompasses more than 20 solo programs and more than 60 recitals with various chamber ensembles, ranging from duos to quintets.
He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Argentina and Europe. He has also made many broadcastings for radio and television, and has recorded several CDs. As a soloist he has collaborated with many orchestras.
Since 2002 Peroni has been working as piano accompanist and as instructor for piano and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Rostock, Germany.
The piano recital is open to the public. Interested parties may avail of free tickets by calling the Argentine Embassy at 845-3218 to 19.
