THE Senatorial candidates of the Liberal Party (LP)-led coalition dominated the survey recently conducted by a radio station.
Re-electionist Sen. Loren Legarda beat fellow re-electionist Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero to the number one post
Based on the RMN’s latest radio listener survey conducted on October 23 to 31, 2012, Legarda landed on the top post with 65.67 percent followed by Escudero with 59.09 percent in the Mega Manila area.
Legarda also had a clear margin in Visayas with 63.77 percent and in Mindanao with 68.18 percent rating points, while Escudero trailed her with 57.60 percent and 59.05 percent in both areas, respectively.
But Escudero managed to beat Legarda to the top post in Luzon with 65.43 percent, while Legarda only has 59.42 percent.
More than 4,500 randomly selected respondents were asked in face-to-face interviews who they would vote for if the elections were held today. The margin of error is (+) or (-) 2.5 percent.
The survey is the first of a four-part survey conducted by RMN’s Research Department and RMN’s top rating radio stations nationwide.
The RMN survey also showed that seven of the senatorial candidates of the LP-led coalition made it to the final top 12 compared to only five United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) candidates.
Independent senatorial candidate Mayor Edward Hagedorn of Puerto Princesa City, landed at 14th to 15th place, getting more votes than some candidates of LP and UNA.
