TWO motorcycle-riding gunmen were killed following a shootout with the police on Friday, in front of a school in Rodriguez, Rizal province, police reports said.
Reports reaching the Philippine National Police operations center in Camp Crame said that the shootout between lawmen and the pair occurred at about 12:50 a.m. on Friday at Kasiglahan Village, Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez.
The reports said that police in Rodriguez where conducting checkpoint in the area when the suspects, on an unlicensed motorcycle, were asked to stop.
Instead, the pair sped away, one of them firing at the policemen.
Recovered from the duo were a .45 Colt pistol, a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver, two sachets of shabu, marijuana strip, aluminum foil, eight fired cartridges, a mobile phone and a Honda XRM motorcycle.
