CABIAO, Nueva Ecija: The corpse of a female was found inside the compartment of a fire truck here a few hours before Christmas eve.
FO1 Camillo Esquibel, 43, on duty driver of the truck and a resident of Barangay Putlod, Jaen, Nueva Ecija province, found the cadaver inside the fire truck’s compartment.
Authorities said that the dead woman is a mentally challenged scavenger; she was wearing a cream slacks pants and polo, about 5”2” in height and about 25 to 30 years old. Witnesses said that she was always seen loitering around Cabiao town proper and was last seen near the fire truck on December 23 at about 8 p.m.
Authorities also added that the cold weather might have prompted her to victim seek shelter, went inside the truck’s compartment, which accidentally locked and she died of suffocation.
