A 50-year-old farmer knifed dead his 38-year-old drinking companion, another farmer on Tuesday as finale to their heated argument in Agusan del Sur province, police reports said on Thursday.
Reports sent to Camp Crame identified the fatality as Eugene Montadas; his drinking partner Porfero Rodrigo stabbed him.
The reports said that the two were having a drinking spree at about 4 p.m. at their place in Barangay Sagunot, La Paz town when they argued heatedly.
At the height of their argument, Rodrigo drew a bladed weapon and stabbed Montadas on his left chest causing instant death, the reports said.
The reports said that Rodrigo surrendered to the police hours after the stabbing incident and is now detained at the La Paz Police station.
