2 Pinays set to compete in Arnold Sports Fest

Filipina bodybuilders Luz Mc Clinton and Gemmalyn Crosby are set to compete in the Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport event in the United States.

The festival that will unfold on February 8, annually hosts around 18,000 athletes that compete in 45 disciplines 12 of which are Olympic sports. More than 175,000 fitness enthusiasts attend the Arnold Sports Festival each year.

Mc Clinton and Crosby will join either of the following competitions: Fitness International, one of the most exciting events at the Arnold Sports Festival since it debuted in 1994, Bikini International, the fifth International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Pro League Division that debuted in 2011, or Miss International, one of the most prestigious titles on the IFBB Pro League circuit that will celebrate its 25th Anniversary along with the Arnold Classic.

McClinton also known as “Mama Luz” topped the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (WBFF) Southwest US Championship in December in Oklahoma, USA.

McClinton, the first Filipina who won the Pro Fame Figure World Championship in the USA in 2010 and the only one with a figure bodybuilding title, was the WBFF Pro Card Winner and Figure World Champion, besting famous health and fitness expert Ashley Horner. She also won a bronze medal in the Diva Fitness division of the same competition.

Crosby, a professional athlete at the IFBB, won first place in the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Amateur International Bikini Class B Championship last year.

A certified personal trainer and TV, movie and print ad fitness model, Crosby was also the 2012 National Physique Commission Atlantic USA Bikini Championship’s overall winner.
