Ateneo takes on UP as UAAP football action resumes

ATENEO de Manila University will clash against defending champion University of the Philippines today in the resumption of University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s football Season 75 at the Erenchun field inside the Ateneo campus.



The Blue Eagles, undefeated in five games with 13 points from four wins and a draw, battle the Fighting Maroons at 3 p.m. UP is currently occupying the third spot with 10 points from three wins and a draw. No. 2 Far Eastern University (FEU) will battle University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the second game at 1 p.m. In the 9 a.m. first match, University of the East (0-4-1 win-loss-draw for 1 point) collides against National University (0-4-1 for 1 point).

A win by FEU will catapult them to the No. 1 spot. The Tamaraw booters got 12 points from four wins and a loss, while UST has only six points from two wins and three losses. At No. 4 is De La Salle University, with nine points from three wins and three losses.
