How to live more for less

Shoppers rush to grab more goodies at the GrantonWorld All-You-Can-Eat and Shopping Spree in Mercato Centrale on October 27

It is quite possible that every Filipino share the trait of indulging in good food and it is also quite possible for every Filipino to do so for less.

GrantonWorld gives every Filipino a chance to do so through their All-You-Can-Eat spree—touted as the biggest gastronomic event to hit the Philippines.

The first spree was launched on October 27 at the famous foodie place of Mercato Centrale. Hosted by journalist Atom Araullo, GrantonWorld introduced this one of a kind experience that offered delights from RC’s Ribs, Carlo’s Kitchen, Monster Burgers, Angust Beef Tapa, Rich Great Food, Bistrology, Cushinetto’s Pizza Rolls, Vigan Empanada’s classic empanada, Wrap Battle, Mio Gelato, Bambi’s Delight and many others.

To warm up everyone for the all-you-can-eat adventure, the spree began with a 5-minute shopping extravaganza of delectable food items that the participants took home. Following this, GrantonWorld presented these culinary aficionados with an overflowing cornucopia of lip-smacking dishes and tempting desserts in a fantastic one-hour dining frenzy at the metro’s favorite weekend food market.

Carnivorous fare and peculiar delights
With savory selections that include tender baby back ribs by RC’s Ribs, irresistibly crunchy pork belly slices by Carlo’s Kitchen, quarter-pounder burgers served hot off the grill by Monster Burgers, melt-in-your-mouth marinated beef slices by Angus Beef Tapa, pork monghe by Rich Great Foods, Philadelphia’s signature sandwiches by Ultimate Cheesesteak, roast beef and turkey by Chef Anton, and rich, inch-thick pizza pies by Chicago Pizza, the all-you-can-eat event turned out to be every meat-lover’s dream come true.

Deliciously unusual fare also abounded, starting with Ping Gu’s mushroom fries: freshly picked organic mushrooms that are breaded, fried in canola oil and served in a variety of dips, including creamy pesto, salsa, honey mustard, and sweet chili. Foodies also dug into Bistrology’s rice balls—breaded and deep fried delights made with creamy and cheesy risotto, with cores made of a variety of ingredients, including tinapa, bacon, and their best-selling 3-Cheese Arancini with aligue sauce.

Heartwarming indulgences and sweet endings
Those searching for heartwarming food found comfort in Esprimere Italian Deli’s selection of Tuscan dishes, Cushinetto’s Pizza Rolls, Vigan Empanada’s classic empanada, and Rice Pot’s variety of fried rice recipes. In addition, Tonchaya served Italian food with an Asian touch with their uniquely prepared Japanese pizza, and Happy Panda’s oriental dishes with a distinct American twist certainly satisfied everybody’s hungry tummies. Meanwhile, participants fought for seconds with Wrap Battle’s Greek-inspired pita wraps.

For saccharine endings, an array of luscious and refreshing frozen treats, fruit juices, and baked delights from Mio Gelato, Bamboo House of Desserts, Juice Bar, and Frisch Liquor Ice Cream also indulged those with an insatiable sweet tooth.

Sprees are just one of the many exciting promotions GrantonWorld has to offer.
