arco Sison goes back to singing, produces own album

Even after trying his luck in another country and in different fields Marco Sison always comes back to his first love—singing.

“I realized na hindi ko kayang magtrabaho ng ibang klaseng trabaho. Mas gusto kong kumanta. Kasi siguro mga 16 or 17 years old pa lang ako, kumakanta na ako. So hindi ko na maalis sa sistema ko,” explained Marco who is neither joining politics nor leaving the country permanently.

He added that staying in the country will be more expensive and harder. Everything will be worth it though because he is doing what he loves doing—singing, performing in shows and recording an album. Marco has recently released his newest album (distributed by PolyEast Records) entitled “Isang Pagkakataon.”

“Isang Pagkakataon” contains eight cuts including its carrier single “Isang Pagkakataon” by Vehnee Saturno. Four other songs in the album are from Vehnee, “Selos,” “K’wento,” “Sa Isang Puso Mo” and “Kahit Na Minsan Pa.” While Edwin Marollano contributed the songs “Dahil Walang Ibang Mamahalin” and “Ikaw Pa.” While Marco’s composition is called “Sabik na Puso.”

Despite the possible obstacles his album could face, Maroc is positive because of his new ballads. For him, the majority of Pinoy sentiments would always be on romance and love when picking an album to listen to. He also feels that his album contains potential hit songs.

“Isang Pagkakataon” is Marco’s latest adventure in his career as a professional singer, which he felt has already gone full circle. He is just relieved that he didn’t have a hard time gathering the songs for his album. In fact his own composition was done within two hours. He was driving along South Super Highway, when he was inspired by a melody in his mind.

As to why an all-original composition album, Marco said that he loves singing OPM love songs. He rose to fame via OPM songs so he feels it is just right to render his fans and supporters new compositions. It is also his way of giving back to the OPM community.
