Students from the city of Bulacan and local tourists interacted with the indigenous communities in Dayaw. Spectators were able to wear the traditional outfits, play the indigenous games and taste the dishes from different parts of the country. The three-day festivity happened last November 27 to 29.

Dayaw 2012 was opened in Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium. It was attended by former Sen. Jamby Madrigal in behalf of President Benigno Aquino 3rd, Gov. The NCCA has been annually celebrating the National Indigenous Peoples’ Month in different parts of the country through Dayaw. The festival is in consonance with Presidential Proclamation 1906, declaring October as National Indigenous Peoples’ Month.
