New Year rock concert countdown at Rizal Park

WITH the recent kick-off of Paskong Pinoy 2012: A Joyous Rock in the Park, the beloved Rizal Park has truly become a certified crowd-attracting destination. Presented by Philippine

beverage giant Asia Brewery, the city of Manila, Department of Tourism and the National Parks Development Committee, the month-long holiday festival offers an exciting entertainment line up, with an explosive New Year’s Eve concert to cap off the series of stage shows.

Apart from food and gift bazaars, exhibitions and shows, barkadas and families can look forward to safe and fun celebrations and end 2012 with a bang as Paskong Pinoy counts down to 2013 with a rocking New Year’s Eve concert. On December 31, Rizal Park will be ringing in the New Year with live musical performances from the country’s biggest and brightest stars.

Among the list of performers gracing the music extravaganza are OPM mainstays True Faith, Barbie Almalbis and Kitchie Nadal, acoustic singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao, kid punk group Absolute Play, indie acts like Save Me Hollywood and Paramita and retro band The Bloomfields.

The Mocha Girls will be closing the show with a show-stopping performance from 12 midnight onwards.

Pumping up the concert experience are choice beverages like Colt 45, Tanduay Ice, and Coors Light available throughout the celebration. A grand showcase of fireworks will also set hearts ablaze at the metro’s biggest New Year’s fete.
