Haribon announces events for 2013

Haribon Foundation aspires to jumpstart the year with Haribon Travel. Haribon Travel aims to bring members to Haribon’s project sites to visit Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA), and interact with our communities.

We also combine Haribon Travel with other outdoor activities including, but not limited to, birdwatching, skin-diving, trekking and learning sessions. Target sites include Mindoro, General Nakar, Quezon and Mangatarem, Pangasinan.

Haribon also plans to launch Camp Likasan, a summer activity that brings families together outdoors. Nature-based activities are planned for all ages as we encourage everyone to get outside and have fun with nature.

Haribon Birdwatching activities are scheduled every third Saturday of the month while Haribon Learning Sessions are on every last Saturday of the month.

Below is the list of activities through May 2013:

January 19 - Birdwatching in UP, Diliman
January 26 - Learning Session: Birdwatching Orientation
February 16 - Birdwatching in Balanga, Bataan
February 23 - Learning Session: Marine Biodiversity/Skin Diving in Batangas
March 16-17 - Haribon Travel to Mindoro
April 20 - General Assembly and BOT Elections
