Worst flood in 6 years fails to ruffle Bulakenyos

HAGONOY, Bulacan—This town may have gone under water, but the residents, instead of succumbing to their fate, have strengthened their resolve to survive the worst flood they have experienced in six years.

On swelled creeks and byways where floodwaters slither through, residents throw in fishnets, even mosquito nets, to catch fish, prawns, shrimps and crabs from the swollen fishponds.
