TO discourage excessive water extraction and encourage watershed preservation and water conservation, the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) is looking at implementing a raw water-pricing scheme in the next few years.
“Essentially, raw water pricing means putting a price on water at its source,” said Elenito M. Bagalihog, NWRB’s water rights division chief, in an interview with the Manila Times.
