Lim tells govt: Sell luxury vehicles, buy private jeeps

GOVERNMENT officials must say goodbye to state-issued Pa­jeros, Expeditions, Patrols, Prados, Land Cruisers and other luxury vehicles, and use private jeeps instead if the government is really sincere in pushing for fiscal restraint, Sen. Alfredo Lim said Wednesday.

Lim, who is often seen in a red Pajero sport-utility vehicle, said that the government officials should sell all vehicles issued to government bureaus and offices and replace them with private jeeps.
