THE Bureau of Customs has no way of knowing the correct data on cargo entering through the Harbor Center Terminal, because the port is not linked to the bureau’s automatic computer system.
This problem was raised by Deputy Commissioner Alexander Arevalo of the Monitoring and Information Technology Group (MISTG) at a recent executive meeting presided over by Commissioner George Jereos.
