THE Land Bank of the Philippines has extended P10.8 billion in credit and technical assistance under the Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization (AFMA) program and P5.5 billion for the SME Unified Lending Opportunities for National Growth (Sulong) from January to June this year, the lender said in a statement.
LandBank’s AFMA loan releases represent 59 percent of its 2004 target of P18.2 billion, benefiting more than 218,000 small farmers and fisherfolk nationwide and generating almost 45,000 jobs.
