Economy to grow 6.1% in ’04–Neri

THE economy could grow within a higher range of between 5.9 percent and 6.1 percent this year, according to the National Economic and Development Authority.

At a briefing by the country’s economic managers, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Romulo Neri said higher growth would be due to the services sector, which would grow by 6.6 percent to 6.8 percent this year.
