INTERNATIONAL credit-rating firm Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services on Wednesday criticized the Philippine government for its “limited willingness to undertake unpopular measures.”
Citing a recent decision by the Energy Regulatory Commission, Standard & Poor’s said the provisional 40-percent hike in tariffs granted to the National Power Corp. “falls well short of allowing Napocor to break even.”
