SHE has a Monday-to-Saturday show and a weekly sitcom on ABS-CBN 2, whose sister movie company Star Cinema, topbills her in movies that become box-office hits and one of which (Ang Tanging Ina) won her a best actress award. You’d think Ai Ai de las Alas has nothing more to ask.

But no, all through the years, she has had one frustration: to have a recording album. Not that she has never had one. In fact, she’s just released her third album titled Ang Tanging Ina N’yo. She hopes this one finally establishes her as a major recording star. The album is produced and released by Star Records—unlike her first two albums, which were produced by smaller companies like Ivory and Concorde.
