John Corbett romances Kate Hudson in new film

WHEN it came time to cast a Lutheran Pastor for Touchstone Pictures’ new romantic comedy Raising Helen, John Corbett’s competition didn’t have a prayer. “There was no question that he was our man,” says director Garry Marshall, who gave Corbett the role of heartthrob Pastor Dan Parker without auditioning other actors.

Raising Helen stars Kate Hudson as a single woman enviably absorbed in the New York fashion world, who suddenly finds herself having to care for her sister’s three young children. Enter Pastor Dan, the principal of the kids’ new school, who helps put things into perspective for Helen, whose world has been turned upside-down.
